Lola G is an Australian Designer Brand of eclectic and affordable sandals, thongs and shoes.
Since opening, we've branched out to include some divine Designer threads to complete your beautifully beachy look.
We're really proud to be able to offer some of the most unique vintage pieces, along with attempting to reduce wasteful packaging!
" I named our business after our youngest child...my gorgeous daughter, Lola. After years of teaching in both Australia and the UK and trying to find a way to follow my dream of entering the fashion world and designing sandals it was during a "pause" after her birth that I decided to make it happen.
I headed overseas with my 3 month old and 3 year old determined to source beautiful footwear and maybe handbags and start up a market stall at our local (and world famous!) Eumundi markets. My imports and shopping for my market stall evolved into designing my own range of sandals, shoes and fashion...
Fast forward! We grew and grew and my husband came on board to manage the warehouse, inventory, picking and packing and dispatch. By the end of 2016 we were supplying over 125 stockists throughout Australia with 4 agents representing our Brand!
As we snatched a few precious days away over Christmas I realised that I was no longer living my dream ... I was trying to steer a juggernaut! I already had my own little shop in Noosa and that was going really well and I was enjoying any time I could spend there, but mostly I was spending 8-10 hours a day at my computer or on my phone.
I made the decision to "pause" once again and focus on retail and getting back to re-discovering my own style and selling direct to the public. Back to where I started! Except that now I am not standing under a marquee in the boiling sun / pouring rain... as much as I loved those market days I adore my 2 retail shops.
Both are within minutes of the beach, well one is actually on the beach! I am finding my way again...filling them with beautiful things that make me happy. I, not only showcase my own designs, but also stock stunning art and jewellery made by other talented locals. I have learnt so much but mostly I have learnt that it is OK to change direction and that businesses and people need to keep changing and evolving!
Hopefully you can come and visit me and my team in our 2 lovely, quirky, happy shops on the Sunshine Coast one day. x " - Hannah
